About the Artist

"Each of Arina’s paintings is a quiet unfolding — a moment suspended between memory, intuition, and the natural world."

Artist Bio

Arina is a California-based mixed media artist whose paintings explore the delicate space between what is seen and what is felt. Her work often features introspective female figures, portraits, animals, birds, and symbolic elements — sometimes incorporating landscapes — that invite reflection and emotional connection.

Her process blends classical oil painting techniques with contemporary materials — including collage, texture paste, spray paint, and gilding — resulting in dreamlike pieces that are both grounded and ethereal.

Arina studied at the Milan Art Institute, where she refined her technical skills and developed a distinctive artistic voice rooted in emotion, story, and atmosphere. From her home studio in California, she continues to build her body of work one piece at a time — always seeking connection, meaning, and a touch of wonder.

Artist Statement

I create from the space between what is seen and what is felt — where memory, intuition, and imagination overlap. My work blends abstract elements with realistic figures and symbols, creating pieces that feel both grounded and dreamlike.

I call this approach abstract realism — a visual language that allows me to tell stories without spelling everything out. Human forms, animals, and symbolic objects often emerge from textured, layered backgrounds — like glimpses of meaning rising through emotion and atmosphere.

Painting is my way of exploring life’s deeper questions: identity, wonder, connection, and the pull of the unknown. I’m not trying to document reality — I’m trying to evoke something true beneath it.

Each piece begins with a feeling — a wordless spark — and evolves through bold marks, quiet moments, and intuitive decisions. I don’t always know where it’s going. That’s the point.
